Posts: 2887 (06/29/09 14:27:33) Reply Quote More My Recent Posts Message Me Connection Blocking Invite Ignore User's Posts Report Post	I just thought I would let people know, that I managed to stay clean and sober through all the madness of Pride weekend and am happy to say that my recovery journey goes on today with 98 days clean and sober. I have had double digit sobriety ( in days ) only one other time but NEVER within the walls of the U.S. or California , almost there. I stayed off of the computer as much as possible this weekend out of all the temptations so that is why I have not been around , did lots of volunteering past few days to stay busy and now back to the books to get all the work done for school that I am behind on .. I am stressed over Math class and how I am struggling but as long as I stay clean then it all will work itself out . I had to get physical with a few drunk people yesterday who were abusive to the dogs I was volunteering with but all in all it was a good thing and learned that four of the people I volunteer with ( including the founder of organization ) are in recovery - my two worlds coming together , how cool is that. Every single day of these 98 days I have had strong thoughts and obsessions to use but have not , and I hope that continues. Just wanted to let everyone know that Robby is still on the wagon !

Getting thru that circuis act unscathed was an amazing and powerful effort. Self deception, chemical dependency and the associated fake-azz unconscious lifestyle are giving way to personal authenticity, transparency, altruism, compassion and a reverance for life... ...and self. (where it all begins) And you've replaced meth with math... math can be a brain-teaser but there's always a solution within our grasp. (unlike meth) IMO...You're too good-hearted of a person, have too much to offer this world... and you're too smart to be wasted by addiction. Mr.Robby...only a Prince of a Man cares for our four-legged friends the way you are. TY Those hound doggies (and peeps) must be thinking that you are Dogs Best Friend Talk about a "Purpose Driven Life"! "my two worlds coming together , how cool is that?" WAAAAAAAAAAAY COOL! ....and so is the safety net you're building around yourself.

I am writing a paper as we speak and am too busy to think about that using crap but this disease stuff is so powerful. The obsession just never seems to go away ...

I'm so glad to hear about your great news, going along with this fight. You are doing "the good fight" as I like to say. I'm proud to hear it. I'm so glad to hear about your school, and especially the dogs, they have a special way of being there with people. I hope your paper goes well!! So, I am at school trying to finish this paper due Thursday , I have a 4 hour English class tonight but am gonna go lift some iron and run on treadmill before hand , I am so damn tired , got up early for Dual Diagnosis group after not getting to bed until 3 am because I had to study for math test - which I just took and PASSED ! Yay ! I was pretty depressed last night but that is because I ran out of psych meds and have been too busy to get to pharmacy and pick them up .. gotta get tomorrow . But I am OK - yes I have visions in my head all day long pretty much everyday, of slamming tina but just have to focus on something else and not go there - I know to use is to die ... so I must stay in recovery .

Sounds like you took care of yourself nicely. I would still caution you about putting yourself in dangerous situations, though. I think what you are doing with your life is something that anyone who comes here can look at and see as proof positive that "We Do Recover..." IF we decide we want to do the work.
