It's been a long time since I've been here. I've missed all of you.
I didn't mean to drop out of sight, really I didn't. First I had an injured finger, then for a while I was too drunk to type, then I had a roommate living in my computer room..........then............I got sober!
I celebrated One Month just a few days ago. I've had 30 days sober more than once in the past, but this time it's different.
This time I am in meetings every day, and it doesn't feel like a chore.
I have a Home Group now, and I really feel like I am a part of something good.
This time I have a great sponsor, and I've learned to keep my mouth shut and listen. I am finally working my program of recovery. Today, my sponsor and I took a road trip to Norman, OK for a Sunday morning ladies eatin' meetin'. I got to meet her sponsor (my Grand-sponsor). It was great. Excellent meeting and a great opportunity to talk and bond with my sponsor. We are taking things slow, and are being thorough. We've been reading and studying together, and we are just now starting to work on the Steps.
I read, pray, study, and meditate every day, several times a day. I am changing the way I think and the way I do things. I'm watching people who have good solid sobriety and I am learning from them.
Life is good right now. Sure, I'm probably on that proverbial Pink Cloud, but that's OK. I have my Pink Parachute ready!
Just thought I'd check in and let you all know I'm alive and well.
From now on, I'll try not to stay gone so long.
Susan
