today?
I have a couple -
my daughter broke her nose yesterday and likely played her last softball game for the season...she is heartbroken.
I have to pull double duty working all my jobs today to make up for yesterday....my business, and my part time job.
My workplace is flooded and I lost 2 days of work at that job....smaller paycheck Friday.
My town, my neighbors, our relatives up near Mason City Iowa - and us ...are battling record breaking floods with more rain and tornadoes on the way.
I must be nuts - becuase I'm still grateful - I still have an attitude of gratitude.
My daughter's nose will heal - I'm grateful it isn't more painful than it is for my lil toughie.
I feel lucky to have all my clients and my regular job when some people don't have one job.
Watching the communities come together - and the outpouring of volunteers to help with the clean up at work has renewed my faith in mankind. People sandbagging to save others' homes and businesses - made me bawl. People bringing fresh water - supplies to us - wow. My home is not in jeapardy - (yet).
Come to think of it - if those are my biggest problems today - I'm doing pretty damn good.
Beware of stinkin' thinkin'.....beware of negativity - it can creep in and wash you away like flood waters !
Help someone today - smile at someone today - say something nice to someone today - it's not that hard.....and it feels good !
Much love to everyone here - I hope you all have a great day - I'm treating it as if it were my last - watching what has unfolded here ( these natural disasters) has certainly helped me put things into perspective - it's easy to fight - sometimes it's harder just to love - and accept love from those you don't necessarily agree with.
Sometimes what you think is your biggest problem can be your biggest blessing.
