There seems to me to be a serious lack of real recovery talk; treatment options and opinions, stages of recovery, actual feelings(which of course is recovery), long term goals, long term health concerns due to meth addiction(liver cleansing, dental care, mental health options, alternative medicines, alternative mental health
[hypnosis, meditation, even yoga] 12 step and 12 step alternatives, communication skills, self-awareness, if addiction is in fact a disease; medications holistic, hemp seeds and brain function recovery, vitamins that repair brain function [gaba, synthetic dopamine, amino acids, B-12, D-3, vitamin E or A] energy boosting foods or vitamins, healthy eating to avoid post meth weight gain and many more very real and very pertinent recovery talk.
I believe that real recovery talk on the board would not only bring back some “old timers”, draw others out of the shadows as well as encourage others viewing for the first time to stay instead of passing on after a glance at the he said she said BS
The boldness and brashness of some is really not an issue in my opinion nor is the unoriginal thought or “fakeness” it all comes with the territory, some may find these thing offensive but I feel they would stay if there were indeed
“REAL RECOVERY” going on
None of us are finished products, finely polished all-knowing beings we are each other’s peers not counselors. We all still need help and to assume we know it all or that we come here to help rather than be helped only has detrimental effects on one’s own recovery
This is a great place or at least has been and could be don’t let it die through censorship and lack of substance in the posts be real be helpful and most of all be helped
