Disclaimer: These are just opinions, I am looking for different takes on this subject.
I always thought that if find yourself in a relationship with someone who turns to drugs, that the best way to help them (if possible) is to separate from the addict to avoid enabling the person.
I noticed from reading a lot of other stories on here and talking with addicts and loved ones, that when you live together it becomes next to impossible to not support their addiction on some level or in some way, no matter how good the intentions behind your motives.
I also noticed that for those who separate from the user (in my observations / opinions) that the success rate, even tho it is always very small with a meth user, increases significantly..
So... this presents the question, if you love the addict is it better to distance yourself from them?
Maybe I am just bringing up this topic because I am sitting here watching re-runs of family guy and getting bored...
