Travis - for me over time in my recovery from alcohol and coke I found two things happened-

one is I got more and more involved in living life on life's terms without self medicating with those things or others for the most part
although you could say at times I was a workaholic etc... but I began to live a fuller and fuller life as a result of my recovery and working hard at it.
Alcohol no longer is such a big part of my thinking or reality on a day to day basis - the thinking I had - that is more where my recovery is focused these days - progress cause I ain't perfect...

I got so busy rebuilding my life I devoted less and less time to recovery and more to what was going on in my life - there are periods of time where it was no big deal but I have always found over time my choices in life became - ummmm - well I hung out with a crazy drug addict for 4 years - what does that tell you ??? Not good for me or my life - as someone above said I didn't use meth but it used me - and now I am here and also back to keeping up with regular AA meetings and reworking my steps and working with others in. It is just part of my path.

Your path is looking pretty neat from this one - keep on trudging the road of happy destiny!
