Our culture is really really big on freaking the hell out when someone says something we don't agree with. I've been guilty of the same.

We can pick apart everyones nuanced arguments untill our fingers fall off.

IMHO, a bumpy road that gets us to our point of unity is better than a smooth road that never got finished.
