This is TOTALLY NORMAL.....and it WILL go away.

It is normal to feel depressed, blah, and numb, and like you can't think right, and to have cravings.

You MUST trust that though it feels completely hopeless and like it will never end, it WILL. You CANNOT trust what your drug craving mind is telling you at first.

The first week is the worst. Probably if you have been using every day, days 4 or so up to maybe 7 or so is the most intense period of craving....for me personally. Others likely have different experiences.

After this it becomes much easier, and over time, less and less.

How long have you been clean, how long and how heavily did you use, and what was your route of administration as these are all factors.

If your depression does not lift somewhat in a few weeks at most, you may need to go to a doctor, for you may suffer underlying depression, in fact depression was a big part of why I wanted to do meth.

It takes some time to try to heal.

Now is the time to be around non users, sleep, eat, and go to NA or something. Try to be good to yourself. You need a lot of rest, a lot of calories, and things that will cheer you up because this is how you heal.
