It sure didn't "deaden" mine....I had strong, almost overwhelming and debilitating feelings of sadness and despair during the blackest years of my addiction.

They were "real"....But that was me.

I may not have had a full range of emotions, ie "happiness", but that's probably because I wasn't happy.

People who suffer from addiction are not "feeling-less" zombies....That is a negative stereotype to promote to people who come here looking for a deeper understanding of the disease in my opinion.

I believe that most addicted people actually feel too much...

I sure liked what you said Carol about identifying what we are feeling and putting names on them. There are neat little charts that help folks out with "feeling" words.
