Congratulations on Day 3.  I'm glad to hear that you are feeling better today.  We use boredom as a reason to use again.  Be careful with that.  It is your mind playing a game with you.  I did lines just to do lines, and for no other reason.  Not because I was tired, or needed one, but just because they were there. You need to try to fill your mind with other things to do.  They don't have to be big things.  Start small.  Reading a book is a good way to pass time.  I have a personal library of over 3,000 books.  Take a short walk.  Make yourself a healthy meal.  Take a long hot shower.  Call an old friend who doesn't use.  Play a game online.  One of the hard parts of recovery is learning how to fill our time with other things.  I will check in every few hours to see if you have posted anything.  If I don't hear from you, I will assume that you are resting.  I just want you to know that I do care about you, and that I would really like to see you get away from this miserable stuff while you still can.Your friend, Carol
