A change of that magnitude is really serious.

Again, in my opinion, many of us get settled in our ways, our culture, and our geographical social norms.

That means that people in West Hollywood have different standards, that is different from,  say a suburb of Portland or a suburb of Denver.

Having to learn a whole new set of navigational and social paradigms might be exciting for some people, but challenging and annoying for others.

I agree one gazillion percent, and I can tell you from personal experience that learning to deal with WEATHER - real weather - at this age SUCKS!

I'm moving to San Diego, where there is no weather to speak of.  It's just always nice.
