It is SO important that people who have fought this shyt and won share their victories....

Think about it.

Sure, knowing people identify with your pain is helpful. And hearing their advice is lifesaving...

But only because you KNOW that they've saved their own lives by doing it.

Addiction does everything in it's power to keep us from listening to anyone but ourself. How many crazy little things did it make me believe? I lost count.

But I know one of the last things it made me believe was that getting sober wasn't an achievement. It was just a "duh, you finally got it, loser"

And the thing is, if I believe that last thought, I'm slipping back down into hell right then.

mcmc, I hope you will always share. And I hope your mind never forgets that if you hadn't done a lot or courageous things... Your life really could have been destroyed.

This shty is FATAL, people. Lives, families, futures, children, spouses, jobs, homes, even innocent people...

The stakes can't get any higher. That's why every victory needs to be celebrated, and passed on as if we were all sitting around a campfire hundreds of years ago...

talking about heroes who fought dragons.
