Here's some advice for ya: Stop watching Intervention.

It's like drug porn. Stay away from it.

Sometimes I miss the lifestyle and the high. It's pretty short lived though, because I have kept meth out of my system for a few years now. I found alternative ways of having fun, feeling intensity, and coping with pain. Sometimes when I have an intense feeling of frustration or loneliness or boredom, I crave drugs, but I've trained my brain to seek out my healthy alternatives first. They always work in helping me cope.

I think a large part of recovery is muscle memory. If you train yourself to resist intense cravings, no matter what - eventually you won't have to train so hard anymore, your brain will begin to detour automatically to the healthy alternatives to drug use.

But you'll never get the "muscle memory" if you don't give yourself a chance to train.
