Great Post!!!

I get SFJ's post and his logic - I do - but he's coming from his prospective, his experiences and trying not to let people use meth use as a scapegoat for everything. And they shouldn't. I get that people were capable of the things they did before meth but I think meth tips the scale.

Even though I haven't used it I do believe meth does change people. The people allowed the change but it wouldn't have happened with out meth's helping hand. I spent years with my son's dad and the downward didn't happen until meth, he didn't hit me until meth's grasp on him was stronger then mine.

It changed his thinking - and to me that's HUGE.

It can take the perfect soccer mom and make her neglect her children. It can bring a model to not care that her teeth are falling out. It can make someone with a huge heart rob and steal from their family. It can take a loving husband/wife and make them avoid their family. And that is changing the person. It changes a person's habits.....

Now can I say it is meth's fault my son's dad is not a dad. No, it's his fault. He valued meth above his son and once he let it slip so far it's easier to let it keep slipping down rather then fix the problem.
