See the thing about Robby is, especially after seeing him go through yet another one of these "cycles", is that I'm really not convinced that he is addicted to Meth.

Clinicaly speaking, he definitly is in the abuse catagory, but sometimes he just does not meet the criteria for a diagnoses of dependence.

What Robby is addicted to however is the sex...

The cycle is, and I have seen it play through about three times now, is Robby meets a girl who is miss "right", does a geographic, does the dog, house, white picket fence thing...This usually lasts about a year and a half.

And then he starts thinking about SF and PNP. Next thing he starts drinking, which leads him to making (and following through with) plans on how to get back to the PNP capital of the world....

Meth is just the vehicle that opens the door to this world for him... Address the sexual identiy and high-risk behavior issues and the Meth problem will take care of itself.
