Laura says to change my thinking but how does one change their thinking if they suffer from a disease that has distorted thinking ?


I already told you how. You ask for someone sober that you trust to give you directions on what you should be doing, and you do that. You have to be WILLING to let someone else drive for you right now. Your thoughts mean less and less when you don't entertain them, and don't follow them.

Doing what a sober person you trust suggests you that you do takes up time and forces you to think about something else. You need this to give yourself a break from your own obsessive thinking, to break the cycle of your thoughts.

I'll ask again, for the third time, Robby, are you willing to follow the suggestions of a sober person that you trust?
