Hi All,

Thanks again for every single nugget of gold and response during my family crisis situation! Got an e-mail update today that my nephew's friend, (the same one who pulled him off my sis when he was wailing on her,) went by where he works, and he was there appearing lucid, clean and sober. He even extended his hand to his friend and thanked him. He is staying "wherever he can." Time for him to grow up and walk like a man - it's about time. Don't know what's going to happen in terms of drug charges for him or anything else, but fully willing to leave that in God's capable hands.

My sis is making a plan to do at least two things around her house everyday after work, cut the lawn, and cleaned her house last night. She told mom that for the first time in a long time, she didn't "pop a beer until 8pm," (that, my friends, is Harm Reduction.) She is coming to terms with the fact that she must have NO CONTACT with her son for no less than a year. Think I am going to send her a nice card with an angel on it, as she loves angels.

My folks sound good - got good sleep last night. Mom even called me briefly yesterday, (sober and respectful, again meeting my terms,) to say how much she AND DAD appreciated all the footwork I did and being there when needed with sound advice, *Starfishy falls on floor, gasps, and Thanks God!!*

So many things to be grateful for - opening lines of communication with the fam, sis is "on her way," and nephew was working, sober, and alive today. *Sigh*

Progress, not perfection. Please keep us in your prayers -for those who do- as WE, (not just I,) walk this long and winding road.
