I'm just going to be really plain about this.
It's a good thing some of us are fascinated by... gross stuff.
I had to assist with wound care on this poor woman with NINE MRSA abcesses today. These had to be surgically "Addressed" (I'll spare you the details...)
But oh man, I gotta say, it's a good thing that some of us (nurses) find wound care fascinating. We can't have a "Wound Vac" on a psych unit, so we have to do things the old fashioned way. Four of the nine wounds are healed, a couple are doing good, a couple are.. icky...
And then there's one more...
There's a reason they call MRSA "Flesh eating."
