It was great fun - I certainly could use more days like that - lots of laughs and fun. Here are a few shots - although I think she has the best ones of the fireworks! And these are the safe and sane ones - but we saw plenty of unsafe and insane!

Who is that in the picture with the sparklers? I gotta meet Pen's folks next time I around there. I love the way the fireworks are all lined up like "THE HAUL" That's our Stash! This is WHAT WE GOT! They were all great - Pen will post the pics of me caught in action later I'm sure. (She's got blackmailable images if you are Smokey The Bear)... And Pen's daughter is an artist so of course she got the nifty idea to use the sparklers to draw - she drew a great bird...

We had SO much fun - except for one thing. sfj and Mrs sfj left too early. I wish they would have stayed for fireworks Picture time! Here's our KCI Pyrotechnic Maniac... LOGOLOVE!!! The girl with the bandana and really bad pool hair (We went swimming - my parents put in a pool as soon as I moved out - LOL - is my daughter.) Here she is, using a sparkler and the road as her artistic "Medium..." and what she drew. Some of the fireworks were completely off the hook. A bunch of guys in a van pulled up with the COOLEST stuff... (I thought they were gang bangers - they were the nicest guys, totally polite, even swept up the street after... the COPS showed up and almost busted them for REALLY illegal fireworks!) I wanted to show them some of the pics I took... and an M - 1000 went off behind me. I think I felt my hair part... I know I felt the impact. It was cool, and I think when my hearing returned, I heard Logo giggling. Here's some of THOSE fireworks. And these are my mountain women "Sisters" who came down to the Bay Area for the day, Amy and Debbie. Every now and then they let us come down to the city. Last Edited By: Penel0pe 07/05/08 18:58:43.
