You guys...... | ||
|
.......are all so great. I learn so much about myself from you.
Tom's statement drove it home for me; I don't do anything halfway. Let me tell you a funny story about my addictive personality.......... I've never liked milk, even as a kid. Okay, so this was a long time ago when I was a single mom in L.A. I only drank beer and occasionally smoked weed at that time. Had never tried anything else. I'm working at this assembly plant and I'm the bookkeeper there and my best buddy was an assembler. We went to lunch everyday at this bar & grill across the street from Los Alamitos race track. We'd eat lunch, have a couple of beers, and shoot pool. Then one day she tells me she is pregnant. Well, you know what that means: no more beer, so she starts ordering milk with her lunch. Being the loyal, supportive, wonderful friend that I am, I order milk too, even though I don't like it one bit. Do you know that by the time she gave birth to that baby I was up to 10-12 glass of milk per day!!!! True story.

Hey Suz,
Out of curiosity, do you think that your wanting meth every single day will eventually go away? Niner and Pen, (both long-term in their recovery,) say the thought of using makes them sick. I wonder if, and am hoping that, as time goes on, you will want it less and less and eventually the thought will make you sick as well. Just as an observer, time seems to be a very important element - time away from it - anything. When my sister-in-law, (addicted to everything, but her DOC was crack cocaine,) finally went to prison for 6 months, we made an agreement with her that if she would write to us, (ex-hubby and me,) we would keep some $ on her books. Well, let me tell you, she wrote for that $, and I kept her letters. In the beginning, her writing was nearly illegible, and she was unable to even make whole sentences. As time went on, I pointed out, (or tried to,) to my ex that her writing kept getting better and better with clean time. By the time she got out, she was making a lot of sense and I could even detect a little bit of "feeling" in her writings. But of course, she relapsed after she got out - her clean time was forced. Drugs have taken a terrible toll on this once drop-dead gorgeous woman who had a heart of gold. She, like her brother, is a different animal now. At any rate, my point I guess is that I am thinking and hoping that this craving for you will not last forever. Starfishy |

i cant seem to forget you.i remember that from an old commercial.certain things instilled in use are there for life.its a scar.when i had 8 months in march the
thought made me sick.
nausious.But my routine changed,from workaholic to bored and laid up ankle surgery.and traded meth for beer after 82 days of total abstanance.being an extremest.big problem. i dont know what im trying to say and too soon in my abstaining to give any advice i need to practice what i preach.But to me wanting to quit isnt enough.So many other ways to occupy our selves.live or die is all thats left to ponder.THing meth think death. |

so 9er,
.....you're saying in essence, EVERYONE is a meth addict? because no one can use successfully? I disagree. ....there are people I know, and i "turned them on to meth" (before i knew better) and they hated it. that was a slap in the face! LOL! .....I was like...you're SURE?? .....YOU DON'T LIKE IT!?? ...DID I GIVE YOU ENOUGH?? I could'nt understand it. how could you not like speed? .......well, if you like being mellow, and sleeping at night. I guess you would'nt. |

I don't think not liking it is using it successfully. To me, using successfully would be using without it destroying your life. No, I don't think
that's possible, for the most part. Of course there are exceptions. Nothing is absolute.
Slowly but surely, or in the blink of an eye, meth will take someone down if used on a regular basis. That's just my opinion, and I base it on the highly addictive and destructive qualities of meth. |
