I'm pissed! I love Suzy for being honest and man, her posts have helped me to get FREE and done more for my own recovery of My Self after falling into love and codependence with a meth addict and I'm very F-IN pissed that my post was deleted. I attribute it to Demons! whatever it won't ruin my day, but I see you demons and you can't hurt me F-U luv

There was nothing left but a shell of an empty thread. If you have not closed your browser yet, you might try hitting the back button repeatedly until you arrive at your message text. You could then send it privately or repost it if appropriate. Sorry for the inconvienience.

Suzette was selling HER truth as their addicts truth….don't you think that could be a problem?

I think Suze's thread sounded like a good and helpful idea, for a loved one such as myself. I can ask questions to my addict till the cows come home, and not once receive an honest answer... I could be wrong, but I think Suze could quite possibily help to give loved ones and understanding as to how the addict's mind works, seeing that's she's "been there, done that"....

A better understanding! I think that some addicts have learned through this board...........just how their loved one felt on the otherside of the coin! Maybe not, but I don't see what it could hurt.............at least not from a loved one's stand point..........maybe you were referring to something different!

A better understanding of what? Of Suzette and her addiction? I understand the temptation to "pigeonhole" us addicts...but the answers you seek are as varied as the people you ask. What you seek to understand for the most part is not understandable... Besides, as loved ones, your recovery is about understanding yourself, not me.

A few years back, my niece was into the whole meth scene...She wouldn't come around to any family gatherings...But once she quit using, and reappeared at the family functions, I was able to ask her questions that I had about my addict; and she was able to put some things into a whole new light for me. I guess the one thing that sticks in my mind is this: She told me that the next time I saw my stepdaughter (my addict) to ask her if she was still using; and that if she told me she WASN'T using, that I should ask her how long it had been since she had......My niece said, "I'll bet you that her answer will be 3 weeks..." And I'll be go to hell if the next time I saw my addict and I asked her that question, her answer was indeed "3 weeks".... All lot of things that I have read on this board, the things that the former users have said, there ARE a LOT of the same stories, yes, Phoenix??
