will understand what I mean,) there is a big difference.
With the ex, it used to be the best "love-making," but after meth, it just became "great sex." Also for me, "great love-making" trumps "great sex" anyday. While attempting to discuss our impending divorce, the ex and I both agreed "that" was always good, but what we didn't talk about was that it did change. "Mechanically," it only got better, but "emotionally," there was an element missing. . . Lax used the term, "sex trippin," so I guess I wonder what that means? Sorry to be so, um, technical about this subject, but I really want to know what makes it so great on meth. Is it just something those of us who never used meth will never understand?

Sex trippin' probably means different things to different groups o' people. For ONE example, my version of sex trippin' would be different from that of a single, sexually active gay male. Sorry to be so generic. I can, however, relate to you & your hubby's experience regarding the difference between a jolly good romp and tender/ emotionally charged love-making. Except mine went to a pathological extreme after he was unfaithful at a party we were both at. Ever got the feeling that you're performing oral for a chance to slit someone's throat afterwards as he slept? Disclaimer: no humans (or animals)--lol!--were actually harmed during this field experience. Lax, Keep up the great recovery work & congrats on the clean time. You rock! |

Thank you everybody for the Congrats. Six years ago I couldn't imagine stringing together 365 days but here I am.
Robert part of how I managed to do it involved not drinking alcohol either, that's an important element in my staying clean. I thought the support of other clean & sober people that I met in the rooms of AA/NA/CMA helped me stick to making staying clean my number 1 priority. We are not alone and theres strength in numbers. Robert I know you can stay clean too. Hope you get to see Penelope soon. She would be your greatist support in succeeding at this. I think you are fortunate to live close enough to her. Good Luck. It's great to read of your progress. |

As far as what I meant by "Sex tripping"... I never did LSD/acid to speak of... But the effect meth had on my sex drive was what I considered to be a
TRIP like feeling...
I become obsessed and consumed with the thought of sex & search for some sort of sexual atmosphere or antics if you will... It wasn't so much about actually having sex with anybody... and I can't say it had anything remotely resembling love making or tenderness... it was more like obsessive compulsive disorder or sensory overload... The hunt and chase was actually more interesting to me than the acts of sex... I dunno if other users can relate to what I am saying by this, but if any of you understand what I am saying Please let me know... I'd like to know if my feelings about this were unique... |
