Hey All ; Sorry for the delay , with the wed, reception and workin ,been busy week! Then the Pooooofed button got me last night , all I wrote just Pooooofed!!!
First.. Thank You all for your concern and prayers,hugs for my son and our family!!! Tenderheartks..... I think I took it pretty well, being a recovering addict myself!... I hope that you and no other parent would hear that from a child!... Suzette....I've had both"everything" and "nothing" and ,well, sometimes they are really not too different?... As far as the "crossroads" in Lifes journey, The road is filled with other drivers, pot holes and dead ends! So if you don't know where your goin, Stop and ask directions!! Donnaeve.....I'm pretty sure I had some issues before,and during my addiction, and well still have a few!...Do I want my son to end up like me? Hell yes and more! Just because you , me ,and alot of other parents are recovering addicts,does not mean we are "Bad people"!...I'm not happy about it but I do think it would bother me more if he did not come and talk to me about anything! Danimal...Ty for the poem and im sorry for your loss! Katie.. Yes Love is powerful!,tough love idk?...Ty for the story of that wonderful young man, you call your son!!!...The book will only work if the children can read and understand it tooo?? Bobbie....I had about a 41/2 yr.meth addiction,and just as heartbreaking,No child should have to see a parent messed up on Meth?... Yes information and discussion leads to knowledge! The only stupid question, is the one you don't ask! Ldyofwzdm.....I would say his mothers response was pretty close to yours!....I definately do not approve and no gettin shyt!!.....Since it was my addiction that effected the ones that I love,I dont have the right to judge or get mad,but is my responsibilty as a parent and friend to talk to him about it? 1.....genetic? idk!....1 hit or drink can start an addiction or they may never do it again,some people just cant say no?? Robert..... You my friend .. be strong and hang tough! there is a new life ahead for you!...I can honestly tell you it is WONDERFUL being clean!!!!.....Best of luck to you! OK now for the "ice" WE discussed: How his mother cant believe that he is going to do this to her,and how very upset it was making her! I DO NOT approve! Where ,How, and Who he was doing it with! How he felt while on it, and when he "crashed" It has been long enough since he did it. With the relationship that I(we) have with our son,when he says he didnt really like and will probably never do it again! At this point I have to trust and believe in him! Thank You all Geo. |

compile posts of people still suffering in here like me, mr procrastinator.and list them in order maybe starting with mr tator tot.and ending wirth the link or
links of the 21 year old with note in dresser drawer after o.d.and the father of two who died.

I am not a user, somehow by the grace of God I never went that way, but my mom was, my 30 something children were/are, and the man who murdered my youngest is.
I think your son already has used and is feeling you out for a reaction. You are a man and you can, so I say kick his arse then say if you use again next
time it'll be worse. What would you do if you saw you son about to go over a cliff? Would you grab him and save him? Same thing.
