Well I am back in Texas and Im clean other than the weed I just smoked lol. Today I took my kids out to the go-kart track we had a lot of fun. Then I went
to a SOBER friends house (he has been clean since I left 3 years ago) and helped him work on a sail boat. Its nice to be back home with my friends and
family again and getting back into the REAL world and living again.
Just thought I would check in Broken |

I've been wondering where the heck you are B. Welcome home!
I've been really busy with the weather and children and helping a friend move, I was having withdrawals from everyone here at KCI. |

Hmmm okay one of the questions that ive been trying to find a way to ask is.. does pot help take the edge off of meth cravings? My son says it does but i am
never sure when hes just trying to justify his choices. Ive had a couple of other long time recovered meth addicts tell me that hes telling the truth but its
awfully hard for me to accept his using *any* drugs. Though anything that helps keep him off meth i'll deal with. What do all of you think..does it help?
Or is it just an excuse hes feeding me?

Weed is so boring.
But it should be legalized. |

No job yet...hopefully this week! I dunno damn good ol boys in Texas dont forget much. I went to a job interview today where the guy knew ALL of my past
history....because my old boss put the word out 4 years ago and everyone in my industry knew...should be interesting my job search. You'd think after 4
years they would let it go.
Oh well thats life and I will find a job. broken |

Just FYI, they are pretty big on drug testing for employment in Texas. Employers get better rates on insurance and benefits if they require testing prior to
offering employment. Pot can be enough to cost you an offer. Since there is no "misdemeanor" amount of pot in Texas, attitudes are a bit different at
the professional level.
They took hair samples for drug testing the last job I took. Credit checking is also big. Controversial, yes, but legal, and often utilized. |
