Ok I am trying to do the right thing. But what is that?
He is now in treatment. He got a ride and got admitted all by himself. The things is everytime I talk to him I seem to get angry, and end up crying after we talk.
Last night he said his sister was going to bring him some money. I wanted to SCREAM. He took $500.00 from me to do drugs all night. Left me broke and now his sister is giving him money. He is not concern about ME it is all about him. I said well I guess she is now taking care of you. Then he hangs up on me. I did not call back or anything. He is calling his sister for things that he would have been asking me to do. Like a tooth brush...etc..
He won't talk about anything that he has done to me. He flat out says he does not want to talk about it. I told him you don't even express that you are sorry or anything. He just wants to ignore the fact that it happen. He is calling his sister not me. I am lucky if I get a call. When I do try to talk to him he completely shuts down.
Am I wrong to want to be included in his recovery? Or is this something I should just let him do totally alone. What I mean by that they have family day, family group meetings, Alanon meetings there for us...etc. He does not want us there? What am I suppose to think or feel about that? WHY does he not want me there? When I ask him he does not say anything. If he want us to be together don't we all need to work together. I am telling him I need it and he just does not seem to care. I could be WAY off here. But he is pushing me away. He says he is working on himself right now. I know he needs to do this. But does he have to push me out of it totally? Or is this normal behavior?
One more thing when he calls? Do I answer? Or do I just ignore his calls if he wants to do it on his own. Is that the way to do it just back totally out? We seem to just get into mini discussions and he ends up pissed, and stressed and hanging up. I feel like just not answering and walking away. He tells me to go to a counsler but he does not want me up there doing what they have to offer. WHY?
I keep making mistake and enabling him, not working on me so I am asking you guys the experts. I am clueless.
