I love you
3/26/08
All my life growing up, you've said that drugs are bad.
Knowing you're behind my back doing them makes me sad.
I'm sad for you, i'm sad for me, and everyone else involved.
What you don't understand is that it is really hurting us all.
Not only are you a mom, but also a Grammy too.
It crushes me to imagine my son not seeing you.
He loves to laugh and play with you, especially be rocked to sleep.
Watching you sing "Lord you are" to him makes me want to weep.
I know how much your grandbabies mean to you, so i'm hoping that they are the key.
The key to help you get back on track, and make things the way they "really" use to be.
I hate to do this, and have to watch you suffer.
But I know that if I don't, it will only make things tougher.
I know that if I give in again, you'll think that it's alright,
But I want you to know ill never give up on you, not without a fight.
Even every "once in a while" is definitely not okay.
This drug destroys thousands of lives every single day.
I don't believe what you say - that you are not an addict.
If you have to sneak around the way you do, you obviously have a habit.
Falling asleep in parking lots, come on mom that's not you.
This all has caught me so off guard, I have no idea what to do.
I've been searching on the internet for someone to tell me what to do,
But all I keep reading is "sit back, pray, and let you help you."
I'm always going to be here, whether you just need somewhere to think, vent or cry,
You know you mean the world to me and that i'm always on your side.
But this has to stop HERE and NOW, before it is too late.
I want you to think hard and see what is really at stake.
Your car, your house, your family, friends and job.
These are the precious things this drug loves to destroy and rob.
I want to keep in touch, and be there for you EVERYDAY.
I hope the day you see you have a problem, and decide to quit isn't just "someday".
I LOVE YOU
