You may have an avatar and an icon associated with your user profile.
The avatar displays under your name when you make a post, after people open the post to read it.
The icon displays beside your user name, everywhere your user name is displayed. That means if you start a new thread, your icon displays on the main page.
To change these pictures:
1. Click the My Control Center located at the top of the page while looking at any forum summary (can see all page 1 posts).
2. Click "Account Preferences" link.
3. Under "Posting and messaging", you will see a check box and text field labeled: "Use Personal Icon URL"
This should be small (10X10 pixels). This should not be a personal photo.
4. To access your avatar from here, click the back button on your browser to return to Managing your account.
5. Click Edit Profile.
6. The text field labeled "My Photo" will allow you to enter a URL to a personal photo which will appear under your name on actual posts/replies, but not on the main page. This should not be larger than 60 X 60.
