congrates on purchasing.do whatever to keep.we just lost our home of 15 years to forclosure.(got caught up in refinancing to many times.now we rent .its a niece home 1800 sq ft.but its not ours.one of my many diisapointments of choices I"v made.Dont meen to depress.just you know I"m at that stage.you inspire hope for a lot of people.

I can tell you this - I have four OLD cars - three of them are sitting outside with pine needles and pollen on them (They tend to collect lots of schmootz when they don't go anywhere.) The one we CAN drive needs serious front end work - the engine has over 200,000 miles on it, but it runs, ya know? I DID go buy a fridge - the one I had was leaking water all over the floor, and when we found out we were gonna get this place, we decided we'd buy our OWN fridge - and I got one that was...

So true - you have to keep plugging - it seems impossible to fix all the destruction after getting clean - but yes, it can be done. It seems impossible at times to think of yourself as a normal human being when you've been holing up with a baggie and a pipe for so long - homeless, jobless - carless - and worst of all.........souless.
Each small success helps you stand a little taller, walk a little prouder....

OH, Pen....CONGRATS!!!!......What a wonderful feeling that must be to you!!!

Even though I'm not a meth user....I was a divorcee with 2 kids....and *I* was on my way of buying my first house before my now husband asked me to marry him.....

So I know what you think is NEVER possible is when you believe and work hard enough...I hadn't had a car or tv for 2 years....trying to save up enough $$..

What a hugh accomplishment!!!...ENJOY the FEELING!!!!!

Your story gives me so much encouragement and hope for my future.....for our future....*Pa's* and mine...
I find it strange .....in looking back over the past few years....
These few years without meth.
The first year ...I was like totally hung up on WHERE and HOW would we live?
And WHY is all our stuff gone?
I was sad and scared and depressed.....
